KidSport Canada
Helping families access organized sport across Quebec
KidSport provides grants to children from families facing financial barriers so they can join certified sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport.
KidSport Quebec provides up to $300 per eligible child, per year (January 1 to December 31) toward sport registration fees. Travel and competitions are not eligible.
Eligibility Requirements
- Age: The child must be 18 years old or younger.
- Financial Need: The family must provide their most recent Canada Child Benefit (CCB) notice and meet KidSport financial criteria.
- Program Requirements: The sport program must be recognized by a sport organization that is a SportsQuebec member.
Please Note
- •Applications must be completed in full to avoid processing delays.
- •Grants are for sport registration fees only (not travel or tournament costs).
- •The child must be 18 years old or younger and the family must live in Quebec.
- •For 2026 onward, applications must be submitted at least 30 days before the program starts.
- •Families should keep registration proof and financial documents ready before applying.
- •Use our PSA contact window before April 30 for potential eligibility support.
How to Apply
Choose and Register a Program
Register your child in a sport program and tell the administrators you will apply for KidSport funding.
Confirm Chapter or Provincial Fund
Find your local KidSport chapter, or apply through the Quebec Provincial Fund if your community has no chapter.
Submit Complete Application
Submit the online application or complete the paper form with all required sections and supporting documents.
Await Processing and Club Payment
If approved, the grant is sent directly to the sport club. Applications are generally processed within 30 days.
Upfront Payment and Reimbursement
Parents must pay registration fees up front. If KidSport funding is approved after payment, PSA will reimburse the approved amount once funds are received.
Important PSA Deadline
Through our KidSport contact, families who submit by April 30 may be eligible to receive funding.
